Welcome to the travel log of Kathleen and Rus
We are a couple from Northern California who have embarked on a two-year overland journey to explore North, Central and South America in our camper, an RV built on a Ford 4x4 truck chassis. This site is a way for us to stay in touch with family and friends as well as reach out to others interested in traveling these parts of our fascinating and precious planet.

Where are we now? The Mayan Riviera of Mexico, staying at the fancy RV park in PaaMul. With it's sculptured pool, patio and open air restaurant and it's immaculate white sandy beach, it almost doesn't seem like Mexico. Yet it is just another face of this vast country and one we'll see a lot of along this coast.

Check out our latest travel log. We finally caught up with our return trip through Guatemala and Mexico to be at Jamie's wedding. And though it's not news any more, it's a real good story, one of the best segments of our travels. Meet little Maria, photo at left, and our Mayan friends who dressed us in their traditional clothing and gave us something we'll never forget.
